TERMS AND CONDITIOINS

Responsibilities of a Marker Certified Technician: Marker Certified Technician is required to know how to properly select, install, adjust, inspect and service all Marker products (See the list of indemnified products on page 5 of the Technical Manual). A Marker Certified Technician must be able to provide proper skier instruction and warning for all Marker products. Customer instruction must include how to operate the product as well as warnings that there are risks in the sport of skiing. That a ski-boot-binding system will not release or retain at all times and that release or retention may prevent injury and that it cannot prevent all injuries to any part of the user’s body. Examples of appropriate warnings are in the Marker retail and rental agreements found in Chapter 13 of the Technical Manual.By his or her signature on the workshop retail or rental form, the Marker Certified Technician verifies that all the appropriate procedures have been followed. Marker Certified Technicians must always use their full signature on shop records, initials are not acceptable.It is not necessary that the person who selects, installs, adjusts or services a Marker product be a Marker Certified Technician, but it is essential that the signature that appears on the workshop retail or rental form be that of the Marker Certified Technician who has inspected the work performed. Non-certified technicians must be familiar with the procedures described in this manual for the products they work on.To become a Marker Certified Technician you will need to do the following.1. Be employed by a Marker Authorized Retailer (see Technical Manual for more details).2. Review the current Marker Technical Manual 3. View the current Marker Technical Training video. 4. Gain a working knowledge of the proper procedures for selecting, installing and servicing Marker products.5. Successfully complete the current Marker Certified Technician Test.Individuals who pass the Marker Certification Test shall not be considered Marker Certified Technicians unless they are employed by a Marker Authorized Retailer or are under contract with or sponsored by Marker USA.
